What Causes Severe Itchiness In The Chest Area After A Valve Replacement Surgery?

Last August I had pneumonia and my right lung filled with blood as I am on a bloodthinner for valve replacement. During surgery to remove fluid, Dr. cut a nerve. I have the sensation of itching from the inside out and don t know what to do. I can t sleep and it is driving me crazy
