What Causes Severe Itchiness After Taking Azor 5/40?

been taking Azor 5/40 cut in half, been having itching every night after I take this, I believe since the coating is broken it affects the absorption and causes itching and rash, Possible? Lost 25 lb and B/P decreased, now at 125/69 from an original 160/99.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Since the itching occurs with the use of this medication then it is very likely that you are allergic to it.

If you continue to use it , it is possible that the intensity of your allergic response would increase leading to more and more symptoms.

It would be best to speak to your doctor so that an alternative can be used. You may be able to tolerate a different medication better and it would still control your blood pressure.

I hope this helps
