What Causes Severe Hunger Pangs, Menstrual Cramps?

I have been waking up with hunger pains, they have been bad enough not to allow me to sleep , I ll wake up at 4am or 7 , way before I actually want to wake up. Today I ate before a nap after a long day and woke up with hunger pains and nausea but there is no appetite present. I will still eat but feel full after a bite or two ... My fav foods don t interest me. I also noticed last week some discharge with some blood and I know I had some cramps but only for that day but no period and as my period date gets closer, I do not feel precramps as I normally would. Normally I ll feel cramps for a couple days. I don t know what s wrong, what could it be?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,

Following is my reply:

1) This is not related to hormones.
2) Having a balanced dinner with a glass of milk before sleeping should help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Soumya, OBGYN
