Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had two wisdom teeth extracted in December of 2015. I ended up with dry socket a diagnosis of tmj , vertigo jaw pain numbness in lip severe pain in jaw and ear. Also it feels like my inner ear is on fire along with ringing in the ear. I suffer from migraines the forehead , back of head and excruciating pain in my neck. Worst of all dizziness, and I have to wear sunglasses. There are more symptoms at the onset after the two wisdom teeth. Wsd told it is a sent problem then neurologist problem. I have more teeth to be removed. Should I because I need a root canal?
As per your query, severe dizziness and pain in the jaw after extraction seems to be due to excessive pressure applied while extraction and it could be due to nerve impingement.
I would suggest you to continue your medicines as prescribed by the oral physician and if you have any pain or discomfort you can consult your dentist again and get check-up done.
You can get further teeth extraction done as well if those are non restorable otherwise go for RCT. Get proper x-ray done to get checked level of infection.
Do warm saline gargles. Take proper post-op instructions and follow them.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Harry Maheshwari, Dentist
