What Causes Severe Cramps In The Upper Torso While Bending?

I have been getting severe cramps/charley horses in my torso, primarily upper torso at the right rib cage, whenever I bend over to tie my shoes or reach back to wipe myself after using the bathroom. I can feel a hard lump where the cramp is and have to push on it really hard to get it to subside. Any suggestions

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are having a lump in the upper portion of torso and you can able to reduce it with attempt as well. So it could be hernia or lipoma like soft tissue lesion.

You need to consult a nearby doctor for physical examination of that lump and treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
