What Causes Severe Cramps After Having Sex?

I recently had sex after not having it for 8 months and literally right after it I have had intense cramps. These intense cramps have been continuous for about 3 weeks now. What could that possible mean? The sex occurred 2 days after my period went off.

Dear thanks for the question.

Muscle cramps can happen due to over use of muscle. Cramps are common with intense activities of muscles following a prolonged rest. This is the reason in your case. Deficiency of minerals specially sodium and calcium is also responsible for cramps.

You need to do following to prevent cramps
Regular physical activities (walking, jogging)
Salt intake
Calcium rich diet (milk , milk products, calcium tablet)
In case of cramp, you need to observe following
Stretch the muscle
Keep it compressed by hands
Take pain killers (ibuprofen) and muscle relaxants (chlorzoxazone)

I hope my reply will benefit you. Please write for follow up queries. I wish you good health and healthy sexual life. Please write a feedback. Thank you
