What Causes Severe Cough, Tightness In The Chest, Abdominal Pain And Fatigue?

For several weeks I have coughed really bad, I went to the Dr. and she said it was allergy problems. She gave me a shot to dry up the drainage, but now I m not feeling well at all. I m feeling like I need to cough but it is a strain and it s not productive. I feel really tight in my chest. I m feeling like I m sick to my stomach and I am very fatigue. I have done nothing to be tired about , no appetite my Dr. Is not in until Tuesday, what should I do? Should I be concerned? Please reply feeling sick.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.

Based upon your symptoms the chest tightness is due to dry cough and you need a chest physiotherapy and an expectorant to get that phlegm outside. If you were my patient I will definitely give you nebulisation to relieve you from your symptoms. Instead of that you can take steam inhalation at your home.

Hope this answers your query.

Regards,
Dr.Alekhya.
