What Causes Severe Bruising?

I am experiencing bruising for no apparent reason. Last week I had a total of 10 bruises of a variety of sizes on my legs alone. I get them on my arms as well. I have wakened up with one on my rib and one below my umbilicus. I sleep on my back and I sleep alone. I a CBC and Diff done 4 weeks ago and it was within normal parameters. I am on Epival and Tegretol daily. Any ideas?

Hi.
As per your case history of bruises, my treatment advice is -
1. Take good nutritious diet full of green leafy vegetables and milk.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
MBBS, DDVL.
