What Causes Severe Backache While Suffering From Inclusion Body Myositis?
I have been diagnosed with IBM but continue to exercise as best I can. The last couple of weeks I have been having some back pain. Today I played tennis as is my usual Friday schedule and beginning a couple hours afterward I began experiencing increased back pain in the lumbar region. I took a couple of Aleve but the pain seems to be getting worse. It is not positional because I am fairly comfortable whatever position I assume, but it definitely is pain from loading the back, that is it hurts when I move using my back. Have I thrown a disk or something?

It is due to muscle damage caused by myosotis. As a first line management you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Diclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist you have to consult a neurologist and get evaluated.
