What Causes Severe Arm Pain While Having Tendinitis Of Rotator Cuff?

I was diagnosed in July with Tendonitis of the rotator cuff with Calcification. The pain in my right arm has been getting progressivly worse and now along with pain in the bicep area I am also having pain in my elbow and numbness/tingling of my fingers. Cerfical Xray findings today were: There is a 2 to 3 mm anterior listhesis of C3 on C4. There is a less than 2 mm anterior listhesis of C4 on C5. There is moderate to marked disc disease at C5/C6. The prevertebral soft tissues appear satisfactory. Bone mineralization appears satisfactory. I have an appointment with Orthopedics in March. What all does this mean?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The arm pain is related to referred pain from the nerve compression at brachial plexus and/or cervical spine level. MRI the evaluation would give much more precise judgement for further care plans.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
