What Causes Severe Anxiety After Tooth Extraction?

-Recently had bottom teeth pulled in preparation for dentures- was sedated. not sure what dr used- versed and fentanyl? It s been almost two weeks and I am experiencing increased anxiety, agitation, lassitude- like I am not myself. Can you shed any light on possibilities? I had stitches in gums and have had a good bit of pain. was taking oxycodone 10 mg but not today. Thank you.

Hi,

More than anaesthesia it looks like a side effect of the medicines that you must be taking post extraction like Oxycodone. It looks like a side effect of the medication.

So it is advisable to consult your Dentist and get evaluated so that your medication can be changed if you still need medication.

Also, start doing meditation and deep breathing exercises and drink plenty of water, take sufficient rest. Once get your blood pressure checked.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
