What Causes Severe Acid Reflux Along With Low Confidence Level?
my son name sunny 21 years wt. 52 kgs. height 169 cms.feels abnormal sometimes due to light pain in abdoman just near liver while breathing and from his childhood he often spit sour water after meal, his LFT test is normal in reports. he remains under aurvedic treatment of acidity and gain weight 5 kgs. in 2 months ie: 47to52 but not fit well, very weak in descision making remembrance very weak low confidence level. pl. advise suitable test or diagnose. thanks.

Such type of acid reflux may be due to these possibilities , these include:
1 The first possibility is of peptic ulcer or HIatus hernia . Diagnosis can be confirmed by upper G I endoscopy.
Try raising the head of your son bed about 4 inches with blocks. It also might help to avoid eating or drinking for 2-3 hours before he lie down on bed .
To help control stomach acid one should not drink alcohol or drinks with caffeine int hem or eat chocolates or spicy or oily or greasy foods. Also take some antacid but if acid reflux is severe then he may need drugs like pantoprazole-d , once or twice in day ( however normal dose is once in day )
2The 2nd possibility is of pancreatitis , diagnosis can be confirmed by serum amylase and lipase tests.
3 Indigestion is another problem .
4 Excess of food in diet is another possibility of acid reflux.
As you mentioned that weak in decision making , so for this you must consult a psychiatrist .
If acid reflux don't respond with above mentioned measures then consult a gastro-enterologist and get his opinion.
