What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain And Burping?

My daughter has really bad stomach pains nearly 24/7 with the feeling of feeling sick followed by burping a horrible rotten egg smell she says it even taste horrible in her mouth when shes does after having the both for a few hours she ends up been sick thatcomes with a horrible stink as if some animal has died n been left to rot is the only way I can describe it. She used to get this when she was younger n we were back amd forward to the doctors amd they couldn t give us a straight answer to what it could be sometimes if it starts later at night she ends up been sick while she is sleeping most of the time she doesnt wake up which is very scary since she doesn t no and I have to go in alot during night to check on her.

Hello,

Your symptoms are nonspecific, but these may be suggestive of gastritis, GERD or a hiatal hernia so you should do gastroscopy to evaluate it more accurately.

This is caused by irritation of stomach mucosa by certain food or medications, stress and smoking. SO firstly it should be treated with home remedies and changing dietary habits.

You need to avoid fried food, carbonated drinks, coffee, alcohol and spicy food. You should eat more milk products, vegetables and boiled food.

Also, certain antiacid medications may be required such as PAntoprasole or Ranitidine.

In cases of severe pain, the diagnosis should be established with endoscopic tests which include gastroscopy or barium swallow test.
