What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain After Hernia Surgery?

I had hernia surgery last year and they put a large mesh patch in there to cover it up and every so often it would tug and pull and be kind of painful especially if I ate too much but now it just seems to be there all the time sharp stabbing pains that double me over. Is there anything I can do?

i am sorry to say that the mesh which was used in surgery last year might have got damaged or loosened from its sutures.now you have to avoid all heavy lifting of weights and overeating because the chances of hernia recurrence will be high.i recommend you to contact general surgeon for further action.
