My husband keeps smelling and tasting an acetone type smell, especially when he coughs or sneezes. Please could you tell me what this could mean. he is five foot nine inches, weighs about eleven and a half stone and is 63 years old. He has never had any serious illness before but when he had his annual health MOT he was put on a heart rate monitor for twenty four hours and also had an ECG test as his heart rate was considered to be rather slow - 47 beats per minute.
