General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Scalp tenderness may be due to a local cause like scalp infection, abscess or trauma.

Other causes may be migraine, tension-type headache or temporal arteritis or herpes zoster.

Are you having a headache, vomiting, nausea, photophobia, phonophobia, sleep disturbances,

Any stress? Any migraine? You should provide more details. Use of local anesthesia is a short-lasting procedure. If required in cases of tension-type headache botox injection can be given.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
