What Causes Scabbiness Around Earlobe And Outer Ear?
My ears are all scabby all around my lobe and outer ear. It started last june while doing an outside demolition project of a greenhouse at a college campus. It lasted most of the summer then disappeared. As of 3 weeks ago it s back. I am currently working outside as well so it my be the sun, but I ve never had this issue before. Any ideas?
Hi. Thanks for your query. There is a positive history that you were involved in demolition of a greenhouse at college campus. The dust and all the allergens must have affected the skin on the ears to cause an allergic dermatitis giving you the scabbiness all around the the earlobe and the outer ear. Once this allergens stopped being in contact, it all disappeared and it is back 3 weeks ago, the moment the allergens came in contact. I would advise you in such a situation the following: - Antihistamine tablets. -Oral steroids in tapering dosages - Avoid exposure to known allergen. and you will be fine.
