Depression is a serious mental illness, which may happen to anybody. It causes sadness of mood, reduced pleasure in pleasurable activities, reduced energy, preference for loneliness, lack of sexual desire, low self esteem, and bleak view of future. Depression colours all aspects of life and person becomes hopeless, helpless and feels himself worthless. Lack of children many years after marriage is a significant cause of mental strain which may have ultimately caused depression. Erectile dysfunction and lack of sexual desire is happening due to depressive episode. So, I suggest you to consult a psychiatrist at your locality who may assess you in detail and prescribe you some antidepressant medications along with psychotherapy for cure.
