What Causes Redness And White Spots On The Roof Of Mouth On Taking Spiriva?

After starting Spiriva I started having sever throat pain and swelling. I gargled with warm salt water 3 times a day. My throat got better but now the roof of my mouth is bright red and had white spots that are getting longer each day. After a message to my doctor he told me to stop taking the Spiriva. But what do I do about my mouth. I can barely swallow a fee grains of rice. Chloraseptic stops working the minute you put something in your mouth. What else can I do and how long will it take to go away. Thank you.
