What Causes Redness And Itching On Armpits?
I was sitting at dinner when my armpits and belt line started to itch. By the time I got home the armpits and belt line were all red,k itchy and blotchy. I showered and put on cortisone. It still itches, what do you think caused it and what should I do? As far as I know I have ever had a food allergy.

Hi
Sudden itching with development of red itchy rash over the body going be suggestive of hives or urticaria .
Ir could have developed as a result of allergic tendency in the body after intake of any specific food stuffs or any drugs ,
Foods containing preservatives and colouring agents are most important causes .
Drugs like antibiotics or pain killers can cause urticaria .
You might need a regular course of oral antihistamine drugs .
