What Causes Redness Along With Swelling And Pain On The Shaft Of Penis?

Help, after a large amount of intercourse over the last week I ve got a small, reddish swollen area on the shaft of my penis. It s slightly painful and the area feels a bit harder than the other areas. There is no blister and I can t pop it in any way. My partner and I have both been tested to be STD-free and have not had other partners. It is located very close to a blood vessel. Is there a simple home treatment to reduce the swelling? How can I get rid of this, and how long should it take?

Hii ,
Welcome To HCM & Thanks For Asking Your Query Here

I have gone through Your query and will try to provide information you need on it

The skin Of Penis , foreskin, and scrotum have very sensitive skin that can become inflamed and swollen after an injury
injuries to the penis can include scratches and Bites, knocks, burns. Sometimes contact with creams and lotions that cause a local allergic reaction can cause painful swelling.

as you had Large amount of sexual intercourse in past few days it is very likely that skin of your shaft get injured due to any of above reasons

you can follow these instructions
-Avoid sexual contact until you feel free of pain and swelling
-Wear loose fitting Underwear and cloths
-Do not apply any creams, lotions or homemade remedies to any wounds.
-Do not wrap anything around the penis or scrotum, such as a bandage, tourniquet or sticky tape.
-An ice pack may relieve swelling, but it should not be placed directly against the skin. Try wrapping a bag of frozen peas in a cloth, such as a clean tea towel, and mould this around the swollen area.
- You can Take over the counter pain killer like ibuprofen for relieving pain

-if your symptoms persist even after 7 days i would strongly suggest you to see a Doctor to rule out any underlying medical condition

I hope it help
