What Causes Reddish Bumps On The Eye Surgery Scar?

Hello,

My 21 months old son had an operation to remove a dermoid cyst on his eyelid. That was three weeks ago. Dissolvable stitches and steri strip have been used to close the cut. The wound healed nicely but a few days ago little red bumps appeared on the scar and something that looks like a few fine lines of hair is sticking out from the scar. Is it possible that these are stitches (although dissolvable stitches were used)? The hair-like structure is black.

We are worried that the cyst was not removed properly and that some hair follicles from the cyst were not cleared (the doctor told us that some eyelashes were found in the cyst).

Thank you.

Get it checked by surgeon who operated. if still remaining stitches then he will remove it, it can be keloid on scar tissue. i will go-slowly.
