What Causes Red Spots On Pubic Area?

I have got red spots around my pubic hair area. They are sometimes really bad and some times OK but they are always there- Whether i shave or not. I tougbt it might be shaving rash but i let my hair grow a lot and they are still there. I have had this for over 2 years now. It is not itchy at all but unsightly. I am 19 and sexually active if that helps.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,
I can understand your concern for red spots on pubic area. After reviewing your query it appears to be simple over proliferation of the oil glands attached to the hair roots. In your case you have given a typical history of increase in decrease of the lesions.
It is quite important to maintain good hygiene in all your kind cases. Do not shave deeply or you can trim your hair rather than shaving. For interim of relief an antibiotic cream such as mupirocin or fucidin can be applied over the affected area. I suggest you to meet a dermatologist to take further guidance.
All the best.
