What Causes Red Spots On Legs Causing Pain And Burning Sensation?
My brother is 57 years old, sometimes has red spots the size of a dime all over his legs. Also feels pain and can hardly walk when his legs start hurting and a burning sensation. He went to the ER last night, they did blood work, said his red count plalets low,and referred him to a specialist. Any ideas?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have red spots on legs causing pain and burning sensation which could be due to viral infection, petechie, blockage of sebaceous glands as legs has large number of sebaceous glands. It could be due to allergic reaction leading to dermatitis and hair follicle infection by bacteria. Need not to worry. You should rinse the area with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice a day. Apply topical antibiotic cream such as neosporin 2% on it. You should take a course of antibiotic Tablet. Take a course of Amoxicillin with Clavulanic acid twice a day for 5 days. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
