What Causes Red Spot On Hand?
Red spot on hand, not sore or itchy. No impairment. What is it? I have a small circular red spot that has appeared on my left hand. It is located on the dorsal side of my hand directly begind my thumb, it started off looking like ringworm, i treated with miconazole for about two weeks and it faded but never fully went away. It is slightly scaly especially before the miconazole and now is still red and about 3cmx2cm in size. It is not sore to the touch nor does it itch. It has caused no impairment to my hand that I can tell. I would like to know what it is and if I should seek further medical attention! Thank you in advance for your help!

All the skin lesion demands the clinical observation for correct diagnosis and this is the best option, if the lesion is not responding to antifungal cream then this may not be fungal infection, some time this could be due to some systemic disease, endocrine dysfunction need to be ruled out some time biopsy also be taken for to know the nature of lesion, hope this information helps, take care.
