What Causes Red Splotches Like Bug Bites On The Legs?

My wife has been experiencing cold/flu like symptoms for about two weeks now. One morning she woke up with what looked like bug bites on her legs. Red round splotches with a hardness underneath them. They itched but not like mosquito bites. We bug bombed our bedroom but the red sores continue to appear. Any chance they are an allergic reaction to something? Can you have an allergic reaction to over the counter cold/flu medicines?

Hi
I have gone through your complaints and it can be an allergic reaction to anything you are using.
It can be even an allergic reaction to over the counter to flu medicine.
Apply topical steroid like cortisone cream twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet Cetrizine once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching.
Regards
