Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi! My son is 13 years old and has spots on his body (mostly trunk) that are red, slightly raised, not itchy, but more patchy almost like eczema and he has also been complaining of lower abdomen pain and it sounds like his pain was moving lower. His belly looks bloated, but doesn t necessarily hurt to touch. He couldn t lie on his side tonight...only on his back. He has been going to the bathroom a lot more than usual. It seems like it bothers him a lot more lately.
I think this may be a viral gastrointestinal infection. The red spot doesn't seem eczema but is better if you upload a photo for me. You can give him Cetirizine for the rash.
Give simethicone for bloating and diarrhoea. Give prebiotics such enterogermina to establish the intestinal flora. Keep him under observation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
