What Causes Red Bumps Under The Eye And Eyelid Of An Infant?

My 11 month old daughter has a few red bumps under eye and on eyelid. What do you think is causing this? I noticed one or two yesterday but they were very small and went away. Today there are more and they appear bigger. Is it an allergy? Should I call her pedi?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Development of red bumps on the eyelid can occur in cases of allergy or in cases of infection.
Is there any history of allergy to any agent in the past?
If yes, then probably this is an allergic reaction.
Infection of skin and hair follicles can also cause similar bumps.
Clinical assessment of the bumps is necessary for diagnosis.
Treatment of allergy and infectious process is different thus consultation with a paediatrician is necessary.

Thanks and take care
