Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I am a female, I am 20 years old. I have red bumps on the back of my tongue and an ache in my throat and a dry painful cough. I also feel very weak and exhausted, and have even been dizzy and lightheaded. I am looking for an opinion on what I might have.
Well, red bumps at the back of tongue with sore throat and dry cough can be due to respiratory tract infections.. As the back of tongue lies close to throat, therefore any inflammation in throat can cause inflammation of tongue and dwell the circumvallate papillae present at the back of tongue.. You should get evaluated by an ENT Physician so that he can treat you for infection after proper investigation like blood test, throat swab culture, chest x Ray as per the suspected cause.. As of now do warm saline gargles and steam inhalation.. Suck throat lozenges and avoid spicy and cold foods..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
