Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain the swollen red bumps in "V" shape at the back of tongue are inflamed CIRCUMVALLATE PAPILLA that contains
taste buds.
Normally they are slightly raised structures and if they are painless and cause no discomfort there is a possibility that they are not inflamed..
Some inflammation can occur on eating very hot and spicy foods,
smoking,
throat infection, infection on tongue like thrush etc.
You need not to worry as it is not at all cancer.
The other thing that I would like to tell you as an additional information is that tobacco dipping can lead to
oral cancer therefore you should stop it immediately..
If there is some inflammation in the papillae doing warm saline gargles and taking anti-inflammatory medicine like
Ibuprofen can help..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
