What Causes Red Blotches On Legs, Swollen Shin Post Intake Of Intravenous Antibiotic?
I recently visited the local hospital ER because i had chills, fever, headache and overall not feeling well. They said i had an infection and gave me a dose of intravenous antibiotic. I have diabetes (not controlled), high blood pressure but it was ok. Since i came home my lower leg has red blothes. My legs are somewhat swollen and shiny, plus i am extremely over weight. What could be going on with my leg. It does not itch but it does hurt and warm to touch.

Since you are a diabetic and running fever with red and warm legs, there is a possibility of cellulitis of legs (Inflammation of legs due to bacteria).
In diabetic people, it is very common because of low immunity and they are more prone to this. Please continue the antibiotics full course.
