Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Recurring Swelling And Pain In The Lymph Nodes Of The Groin?
Hi! For the last 8 months I ve had reoccurring swelling and pain in the lymph nodes on the right side of my groin. I ve been tested for STI s and all are clear. I m also experiencing sweating at night and a sore throat this time around, however the last several times have been just the lymph node symptoms.
I would advise you for a battery of investigation like blood for CBC, ESR and FNAC or biopsy of the lymph node. Night sweats and sore throat might be related to upper respiratory tract infection or inflammation like pharyngitis. Meanwhile do warm saline gargling and take a course of antibiotics like Amoxyclav for 5 to 7 days.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to ask for follow up question and I will be happy to help you.
Best wishes, Dr. B R Hudda
