General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Chest pain may result from some pathological conditions such as gastro-esophageal reflux disease, muscle strain, costocondritis, pleurisy, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary HTN, anxiety disorders, panic attacks, angina, myocarditis, cardiomyopathy etc. Treatment depends on the causes. You should undergo some investigations like CBC, CXR P/A view, HRCT of chest, ETT, ECHO, barium shallow test etc., to detect the exact cause for your chest pain and then treat them accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Zubayer Alam, General & Family Physician
