Hello ! , have you been injured in any way , twisted your trunk suddenly , carried really heavy weights in you hands for long periods, had any sort of respiratory problem lately , or performed some heavy overhead activity? Also the type of pain ( burning , aching , restricting ) is important , and if it is associated with your breathing . What makes it come back when it does ? Diagnosing the cause of your pain - weather muscular or anything else , is important to get correct treatment. I would suggest an ortho/ physio evaluation . Pain from muscular origin , due to strain of muscles around the lower part of your ribs is easily treated with physiotherapy . Try not to get just temporary solution by taking ibuprofen.
