What Causes Recurring Pain In Lymph Nodes All Over The Body?

Hello, I am currently very stressed out and nervous. I m currently dealing with painful lymph nodes all over the body and headaches. I went to the doctor and was checked for enlarged lymph nodes but he said that everything was normal. He did a urine test and all he said was that I did have a little protein. He also did a blood test and I was told that everything came back normal. I also have back pain and lower abdominal pain. The pain on my lymph nodes come and go they are not consented. They sometimes hurt in my neck, groin and even chest. Headaches also come and go throughout the day and are not severe.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of recurring pain in lymph nodes all over the body which seems to be due to strep throat which is a bacterial infection , urticaria or lymph adenopathy. Lymphnode enlargement suggests infection. Multiple lymphnode enlargement needs to looked at carefully. As it is recurring, site of primary infection needs to be identified. Also a lymphnode biopsy and culture would be helpful.

1) Start with antibiotics as they are first line of treatment option in this case. In case of mild fever you can take Calpol or paracetamol for relief as well.
2)Improve your diet with protein and Vit A, B-complex, Vit C and Zinc. Improved immunity reduces risk of infection. Maintain hygiene. Get an FNAC done to rule out other causes of lymphnode enlargement.
5) Hot milk with a pinch of turmeric boiled with it at bedtime for 2-3 days as it has antimicrobial action.
6) Take anti inflammatory drugs such as Levocetirizine.

If symptoms keeps on persisting visit general physician once and get it examined. Take proper course of antibiotics.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
