What Causes Recurring Lump In Groin Area?

Hi i, m jayne i have a lump in my groin ive had this before and was told its a over active sweet gland and normally they come and go in a couple of days and normally happens once a month but this time its got bigger has, nt gone its been about 3 weeks now and it gets itchy sometimes and it just seems to be different some how from the other ones I used to get

Where exactly is this lump? You need to be more specific. If possible, write to me using our premium service wherein you can attach images of the affected region and send them to me.

If the lump is near the vaginal opening, then this could be a Bartholin's cyst. If not, and the lump is near the pubic region this could be an irritated, inflammed or possibly even an infected hair follicle. If so, apply a warm compress to the region several times a day, take warm sitz baths with epsom salt and also use an antibiotic in the region. Do not shave, wax the region and wear lose comfortable inner wear.
