What Causes Recurring Headaches, Painful Ears And Teeth With Swollen Extremities?

Hi...I have several different things going on and am not sure what I can do or take to help. I have been having severe headAches for the last several days. Most painful on left side of my head. My face eyes ears and teeth also hurt. I also have been having a tension pain every time I have been off my feet that goes from bottom of my feet up back of My legs. It hurts to stand and walk as if my muscles are being over-stretched. And today my left hand and leg and foot are really swollen. I ve never had swelling in my leg/foot before. I have taken diff meds to try to ease pain, but nothing seems to help.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

Thanks for your query . You mentioned that you have recurring headaches, painful ears and teeth with swollen extremities . The symptoms you mention in query can probably occur due to sinusitis , TMT problem or severe tooth infection. But in your case the symptoms seems to be due to sinusitis or viral infection.

You should take this serious because if sinusitis left untreated infection can spread to surrounding part like middle ear or brain . So i would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may order X-ray or CT scan for proper diagnosis . He/she may prescribe nasal decongestant , antibiotic course or mucolytic agent (ambroxol).

If the cause of sinusitis is allergy the doctor may prescribe antihistamine drug. For now do warm saline gargles , take saline nasal drops , take steam 2-3 times a day and drink plenty of water to keep your self hydrate . Also take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
