Again given antibiotics for just 3-5 days. Now in november 1st week of 2015, 3rd time again i was diagnised with typhoid. This time both 1 in 320 dialation. Hence, a doctor here gave Amikacin and ceftriaxone injections for 3 days ( i.v ) . and antibiotic couse tablets for 10 days. As like evrytime i recovered after 3 weeks. My typhoid symptoms evrytime are cough and guddiness with sleepless ness that stay for 3 weeks. Again with in a month of recovery, i am feelingsame guddiness . tested widal and it is 1 in 40 dialation. 4th time. I am really worried. I dont eat food outside. Always maintain hygine . why am i having these reccurent episodes? Please help.
it is only recurence due to improper treatment. take proper test may be blood culture and exclude typhoid and paratyphoid. take full course of ciprofloxacin and have repeated test for follow up. it is having relapse may be due to resistant strain of salmonella typhy. can take ofloxacin for 7days.earlier being treated by chloromycetin. but since it is causing bone marrow depression it is avoided
