What Causes Recurring Cough Only During Evenings?

I am 54 years old, 125 lbs. 5 4 . I recently lost my voice, then acquired an intermittent cough, then the voice came back but still have the intermittent cough. No fevers, headache or other symptoms. Cough gets a bit more pronounced in the evening but no coughing at night and cough not keeping me awake.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello & welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.

As per your clinical history it appears that you are having postnasal discharge .

If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you
Antiseptic chlorhexidine Mouth Wash twice daily ,
Plenty of fluids ,
Steam Inhalation twice daily,
Saline nasal spray &
Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast combination .

Investigation needed Videolaryngoscopy to visualize throat & larynx .

Here my suggestion is that you should consult your ENT doctor for thorough examination, necessary investigations and treatment.

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
