What Causes Recurring Burning Sensation Of Legs And Ankle With Difficulty In Urination?

I have reoccuring (about every 3 - 6 months) burning in lower legs and ankle area. Feels very tight. When I touch area is cool and no swollen. At same time difficulty with urination ie. can pass only small amounts with discomfort....no discharge. Have been checked of infection several times. If I stay on my feet for long after the burning starts, the pain moves up my right leg causing pain in knee area which causes me to limp and feel somewhat unstable.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have numbness in feet and ankles radiating to the calves. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like soft tissue injury , hematoma , nerve injury or compression . It can also occur due to condition like sciatica .I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI along with nerve conduction test . Doctor may prescribe anti inflammatory along with nerve supplement and recommend physical therapy . Doctor may also recommend surgery in severe nerve damage . For now keep your leg elevated while sleeping and apply warm compresses several times a day . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist for neuropathy or other nerve problem or urologist for UTI.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
