Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a recurring rash, actually large spots that raise up and turn from bright red to purple. They are in the same spots and have even blistered. I am under the care of a dermatologist who is just as perplexed as I am. I am currently taking steroids for the third time. Any suggestions?
That is quite an odd rash. Colored rashes that change can be from blood vessel lesions. Sometimes blood vessels form odd structures under the skin. The easiest way to get a diagnosis would be a biopsy of the lesion and pathological review.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Timothy Wong, General & Family Physician
