What Causes Recurring UTI And Oral Thrush After Having Kidney Transplant?

I am a kidney transplant recipient. I seem to get UTI every 2-3 months. Last month I developed oral thrust. I was treated with lozenges and an antibiotic. I thought I got rid of it, but it has come back. I seem to have developed several symptons......fatigue, weight gain, short term memory loss, painful side aches, pain over my transplanted kidney, hell, I m a real mess!!!!!! I have an appt. with my doctor this coming week, but I was wondering if there was some kind of home remedy that I could do these next couple of days. Do my symptons sound like the yeast infection has spread to the rest of my body? Thanks, Pam

General & Family Physician 's  Response
following a transplant my friend one is put on immunosuppressants for preventing rejection of the transplanted organ
the reduced immunity makes you prone to many infections which body would have otherwise taken care off
your doctor will be able to help you and will also be able to ascertain that the transplanted kidney is safe and healthy
in the mean while keep a very good personal and surrounding hygene
avoud contact with people who have any kind of infection
