What Causes Recurrent Throat Infection?

Hi. I am 38 year old female. BMI26, social drinker, non smoker. Bloods done after repeated throat infections and all over nightly itch were normal other than bilirubin of 17 (ref range 0-15) and Lymphocytes of 0.9 (ref range 1.0-4.0) The Bilirubin and itch has me concerned about liver issues?

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your concern.

Yes the liver issues may cause both the Utah and bilirubin levels to increase.

As you said you are a drinking person I will suggest you to leave it as soon as possible because it one of the major cause of liver damage.

You need to get a liver serology also worked out for any hepatitis. As you also have decreased lymphocytes count and too much raised bilirubin levels, visit a Gastroenterologist for further evaluation.
