General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Carolyn
welcome to health care magic
burning hot pain in left lower abdomen in background of urinary tract infection might be related to pyelonephritis, renal stone or kidney disease.

Another possibility is acid peptic disease like gastritis or stomach hyperacidity.

I would advise you for a battery of tests like blood for hemoglobin, CBC, liver function test, blood sugar, Urine test for microscopy and culture and ultrasound if need be.

You should take antiacidity medicines like pantoprazole or ranitidine with antacids.
have lots of fluids which will also help by flushing off urogenital tract.

thanks for your question please feel free to discuss further
Best wishes
