What Causes Rectal Prolapse?

I have been diagnosed with a prolapsed rectum, but in a mild stage. That was about a year ago. I also have Mast Cell Activation Disease (hoping you have heard of this). I chronically have mucus and clear/brown liquid that randomly escapes my rectum (so I wear a panty liner daily). That said, lately I have noticed blood in the mucus and my rectum actually protruding. It does go back in on it s own, but I see and feel it. I also feel pressure in that region. After a bowel movement today, I noticed bright red blood on the toilet paper. After a few wipes it was gone. What could this mean? I meet with my GI specialist on Friday. Are there specific questions I should ask?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, I had gone through the history given here and I could say that if this is the history of prolapse rectum then it may cause the inflammatory changes with infection and it may bleed then, so the first think you can ask the doctor is "Is the bleeding per rectum due to prolapse rectum) if this is positive then it has to be repaired soon. hope this information helps.
