How To Treat Rectal Prolapse In Children?

my little grandson has rectal prolapse can anything be done for it and what causes it? he is in foster care they said he had monkey butt....i just seen this today when i got him...i am worried about him hes only 3....i researched this online and seen the pictures and it is rectal prolapse...i told them they need to take him to a specialist...I am going to report them to dhs

I really appreciate your concern, rectal prolapse in children is very common disease and it could be due to frequent infection, constipation, low water intake and others most of the time it comes around with conservative treatment and seldom need surgery, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
