My child is 1 month old. After getting report of stool test of my child it is found the Consistency is Mucoid, Pus Cells are 10-12/hpf, Occult blood is negative. But we saw little bit of blood in his every stool when he passes. Dr. adviced to give him Omnix-50(1.5 ml) and Gut Ok(2.5 ml) twice a day for 5 days. We gave him as per dr. adviced. But we saw little bit of blood passes in his stools till now. What can we do now?
The possibility of he may be suffering from dysentery. It may be amoebic or bacillary dysentery until the examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Get it done stool microscopy and culture sensitivity. Continue above medications. Give soft diet, if symptoms not improved please your paediatrician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
