What Causes Rashes On The Abdomen And Back After Taking Hepatitis A Vaccination?

My son got his vaccinations for rabies and Hepatitis A and B by the TMB melaniemcdonaldallen@gmailon Wednesday 26th April. On Thursday, 4th May he noticed a few spots on his abdomen and back. Initially he wondered if it was a reaction to our dog. He took Cetrine for the last few days but the rash has become more widespread on his arms and very marked on his abdomen and back. It only then dawned on me that it may be a reaction to the vaccination. He feels well and is in the middle of his college exams so doesn t really have time to go to the Dr until next Thursday. Should I give him anything else or insist that he goes to the Dr before Thursday?

Hi,

Rabies and hepatitis A and B vaccinations do not give rise to rashes as you have described. See a doctor for an exact diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
