Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I get very bad rashes on my hands, and have a rash on my right shin and my left calf...I have now recently gotten very bad diarrhea. The rash has diminished on my hands with the help of betamethasone in lotion form, but the leg rashes still act up. What the heck is this?
There are a lot of different causes for rash so it would be best for you to visit your doctor so that it can be seen and diagnosed. Rashes can be due to infection (viral, bacterial or fungal), different types of eczema, psoriasis, side effect of medication, autoimmune disease etc
If it occurred at approximately the same time as the diarrhea, it is possible that the rash is a viral exanthem which is a rash that can occur with viral illnesses.
I hope this helps
