What Causes Rapid Heart Rate And Nightmares In A Child?

My 10 year old seems like he was having nightmares & very rapid heart rate in his sleep. I was keeping a close I on him. He started vomiting about 20 min ago. His is nearly passed out... but his heart rate is still very high. Is this normal with sickness. Xtra worried because he has life threatening food allergies ... yet believe no exposures. Been nut free house for 13 years because of older sibling with similar allergies. Color is ok. But could feel his heart racing in sleep before he even started vomiting. Any advice greatly appreciated. He has food allergies & also epilepsy, so hoping just a stomach bug. But don t remember the rapid heart rate with myself or any other of my kids. Thanks
